Title: Assistant Attorney General, Consumer Credit Unit State Role Title: Assistant Attorney General Hiring Range: Commensurate with Experience: Pay Band: UG: Agency: Attorney General & Dept of Law Location: Office of the Attorney General Agency Website: https://www.oag.state.va.us/: Recruitment Type: State Employee Only - E Job Duties: This individual will analyze, investigate, and prosecute suspected violations of state and federal consumer lending statutes, including statutes that address payday/short-term loans, motor vehicle title loans, consumer finance loans, mortgage loans, mortgage servicing, and foreclosure rescue services. In addition, the individual will have responsibility for analyzing, investigating, and prosecuting violations of other state and federal consumer protection laws, including the Virginia Consumer Protection Act. Must have excellent writing skills and be prepared to appear in the appropriate state or federal court in actions filed against alleged violators.
