Job Description Overview: We are currently seeking a Specialist Engineer who specializes in the design of CANDU Reactivity Control Units (i.e., Reactivity Mechanisms), providing strategic technical leadership, defining engineering approaches, and serving as a primary technical interface with organizations inside and outside the company on complex, large‑scale refurbishment and new build nuclear projects. Your role: - Acts as a recognized technical leader in the design of CANDU reactor components, systems, and structures across complex projects. - Is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert for CANDU Reactivity Control Units and maintains effective technical liaison with internal and external organizations. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring of junior, intermediate and senior engineers, influencing and aligning engineering practice across projects. - Develops new engineering concepts and design modifications to meet functional, regulatory, and lifecycle requirements. - Devises and champions new approaches to complex or novel problems within the engineering specialty. - Leads the resolution of critical and high‑risk engineering issues, providing timely, and defensible engineer...
