Located in Newport News, Virginia, Christopher Newport is a primarily undergraduate and residential institution of 4500 - 5000 undergraduate students. It also offers several Masters level programs, and maintains a highly successful Division III Athletics program. It is anticipated that the attorney will handle a broad range of legal matters, serving all divisions of the University. Serving as agency counsel requires advising decision-makers throughout the organization on the legal risks and obligations associated with their duties as employees or board members and offering strategies for mitigating legal risk in unexpected circumstances and situations.
