Job description

What you will do: Repair and maintain equipment and building operations including ready-mix plant, recycler and other miscellaneous equipment. - Repairs plant equipment in such a way as to ensure all equipment is always operated in a safe condition. Reinforces the safety culture throughout the entire organization. Attends plant safety meetings. Fixes issues identified during plant inspections in a timely manner. - Works to ensure that the ready-mix plant is mechanically available every day and that unplanned production outages are kept to an absolute minimum. Proactively communicates problems in achieving continual plant uptime to the Ready-Mix Management Team. - Effectively and efficiently performs all preventive maintenance activities and quickly resolves all equipment breakdowns. Avoids fixing equipment with temporary patches that do not resolve the fundamental cause of the equipment failure. Develops additional skills required to continually improve personal mechanical abilities. - Educates the Operations Manager, Plant Managers, and Drivers about the appropriate methods to operate all parts of the plant.
