Mental Health Professional - headspace Kununurra Engaging in Therapy: The main component of this role is to provide evidence-based therapy to young people in the Kununurra community. This is primarily through one-on-one sessions in the headspace centre, but the clinician also has the flexibility to engage in sessions outside of a clinical setting. Can engage in group sessions with young people, if this falls within the clinical scope and expertise of the clinician. Cultural Clinical Governance: The clinician will be actively engaged in providing a cultural safe service for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and all cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) people in Kununurra. This will involve regular clinical cultural yarning sessions and completing in house and external cultural training sessions. Case management: The clinician is required to manage their own caseload, and engage in follow-up with young people, family and external agencies if deemed appropriate.
