We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join us at Southend Victoria Vets for Pets on a full-time basis, with a view to proceed on to Nursing training in the future! Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. We're looking for a team player who is willing to get stuck in, work hard, and keen to learn. Your tasks will include keeping the clinic clean, tidy, and organised; feeding and monitoring in-patients; running clinical tests; managing stock; handling a variety of small animals; helping set up for operations; deep cleaning all areas; speaking to clients on the phone and in person. Good verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy are essential. This is a full-time position covering 40 hours per week and will include 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis.
