Description The Technical Communicator is a liaison between the dealership and Caterpillar Engineering for product problems and technical information. This position provides support for all dealership departments and external customers. This position provides technical support for all allied products that we represent. WHAT YOU'LL DO: · Support the operation departments and external customers as the company technical expert. Solve critical product problems through diagnosis/repair, personal knowledge/experience and manufacturer engineering data. · Provide failure analysis reports to dealership, Caterpillar and customers. · Track and report product problems to sales and Caterpillar. · Create and distribute technical service related memos. · Assist service managers in making customer, dealer, and manufacturer policy settlement decisions. · Direct, coordinate, perform and report on test iron and field follow projects, failure and reusability analysis reporting, parts salvage and development, SIMS and Partners in Quality programs. · Investigate and report on product accidents to the company and manufacturer. · Create on-machine solutions through testing and research. · Investigate, col...
