Job description

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist . The Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist, under the supervision of the Chief Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist or authorized designee, is responsible for the setup of and the safe operation of the cardiopulmonary bypass machine, intra-aortic balloon pump, autologous blood collection machine and associated equipment, as needed, during cardiac surgery or related cardiovascular operative procedures. EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion or comparable training program. Certified or certification eligible cardiopulmonary perfusionist preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 50 plus cases of performing both adult and pediatric perfusion. SKILLS: Ability to organize and coordinate related activities of the open heart surgery program. Technical proficiency in the use of all necessary equipment.
