Primary Responsibilities: Leidos’ Defense is seeking a System Safety Engineer to join a matrixed organization of systems engineers, model-based systems engineers, and specialty systems engineers. This System Safety Engineer will support between 1 and 3 efforts simultaneously, which they will need to autonomously balance throughout their 40-hour workweek. These efforts will be for a variety of applications, from physics-based modeling & simulation to hardware development, and will involve both classified and unclassified work. The System Safety Engineer will need to work independently on these efforts, defining their own tasking derived from customer needs and contractual documents.
