Cars today are loaded with electronic technology. They contain many independent on-board computers which are frequently networked together. These computers and their many sensors control the engine, transmission, climate control and entertainment systems. When something goes wrong it’s not easy to find the cause and fix it. That’s where Snap-on products come in. We design and build the electronic tools technicians use to communicate with the vehicle’s on-board computers. We help the technician understand what’s happening, and provide information to solve the problem quickly and accurately. Our Snap-on Diagnostics facility in Lincolnshire, IL, is home to the engineers who develop hardware, firmware and application software.
