About Merlin: Merlin is a venture backed aerospace startup building a non-human pilot to enable both reduced crew and uncrewed flight. Backed by some of the world’s leading investors, Merlin is scaling alongside our customers to begin leveraging autonomy today to solve some of aviation’s biggest challenges. About you: We are seeking a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate the compute and virtualization backbone that supports HIL, AIR, and SIL environments. This role owns the implementation and operational stability of the simulation execution substrate including hypervisors, virtual machines, containerization, CI pipelines, and artifact management. Responsibilities: 1. Simulation Compute Architecture Design and manage high-performance compute infrastructure (e.g., Proxmox or equivalent hypervisor environments) Define VM topology standards for virtual test environments Implement reproducible image and deployment strategies 2. CI/CD & Automation Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for simulation artifacts Ensure deterministic and traceable builds for runtime models and routing software Automate deployment into SIL and HIL environments 3.
