Description Overview: Under close supervision, the Accounting Generalist I will provide support to comply with the policies and procedures of the Credit Union in maintaining all Accounting processes. This role requires high attention to detail, handling sensitive financial data, accurate general ledger entries, initiating and processing Credit Union electronic transfers with high accuracy and maintaining security compliance. What You Will Do: - Assumes primary responsibility for two (2) or more of the following major functions under close supervision - Provides support to the primary daily processes and regulatory requirements of Accounting Services; Wire Transfers, Corporate Checks, General Ledger Accounts, Accounts Payable, Returned Items. - Supports the preparation, posting and maintenance of general ledger entries as assigned according to required frequency· Works to gain and maintain knowledge of applicable accounting principles, internal controls, and regulations applicable to the position's area of responsibility.
