Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency OUR MISSION: MWVCAA invests in people and their futures to reduce the impacts of poverty. The Maintenance Specialist 1 is responsible for performing semi-skilled facility repair and maintenance at multiple agency sites to ensure that the facilities are properly maintained and meet all agency and government standards. Duties may fall into a variety of trade areas, including general maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical, masonry, energy, custodial, and landscaping. Work is supervised by the Safety & Facilities Manager for adherence to instructions and established standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: - High school diploma or GED. - Three years of maintenance experience required. Education or training in the facilities maintenance trades may substitute for work experience. - Must have basic proficiencies in areas including but not limited to; plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
