About the role Mater Health is currently seeking a full-time Principal House Officer - Neurosurgery, to work across our Mater Hospital Campus’ ( Mater Hospital Brisbane and Mater Hospital Springfield ). This role will start from August 2026 to February 2027. Salary range: $67.51 - $74.14 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! What you’ll be doing: Role specific expectations: - Provide high-quality care to neurosurgical inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of senior clinicians. - Participate in neurosurgical theatres, ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency care. - Contribute to clinical audits, teaching, and research within the department. - Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients. - The appointee will be required to participate/work rostered and un-rostered overtime, late/evening/night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
