Position Summary: This Derivative Trader executes energy derivative instruments as they relate to inventory management and storage hedging . Includes, but not limited to, Crude, Gasoline, Diesel, Natural Gas, and related Agricultural products. Serves as a resource to management and physical traders on paper markets given corporate risk profile . Performs ad hoc analysis for energy related commodities . Key Responsibilities: - Develops and implements Accurate and timely execution of financial energy derivative instruments on multiple exchanges at the direction of internal physical traders and/or the company’s Risk function as pertains to corporate hedge maintenance. - Continuously reviews market conditions and the short-term supply and sales plans; recommends and implements changes to the plan to optimize overall value to MPC (product yield shifts, sales channel shifts, import/export changes, etc.) - Evaluates and executes discretionary trade and business development opp...
