Patient Transporter-Senior (MARC ADM Medical Records)

Job description

Under limited supervision, responsible for providing a variety of activities related to the transportation of patients, guests, and equipment. Actively engages patient population in the waiting room area to ensure a positive and inviting experience. May lead or mentor lower level team members. - Creates best care experience when greeting and assisting all patients and visitors entering multiple areas of the hospital and clinics. - Assists with checking patient's schedule, answering questions regarding their appointment, and checking paperwork. - Assists front desk with various duties and register patients in MyChart. - Safely and securely transports and assists patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair/stretcher as requested to include transport of oxygen tanks and any special equipment. - Ensures wheelchairs are available at each entry in a clean and working condition. - Accounts for and secures wheelchairs by end of shift and inspects on a daily basis for any needed repairs. - Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to/from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers as requested. - Assists patients in and out of vehicles and escorts or transports...
