Brandeis University is delighted to announce a new opportunity as the Temporary Equipment Mechanic I, Lead in the Facilities Department. Under the direction of the Manager, Grounds & Fleet, the Equipment Mechanic I, Lead, maintains, troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs all types of vehicles and equipment owned and leased by Brandeis University. Manages the Facilities Services Fleet inspection program. Must have an extensive knowledge of diagnosing, repairing and maintaining all small engines as well as gas and diesel vehicles and equipment. This position is a Local 615, 32BJ Service Employees International Union (SEIU) position. The hourly rate for this position is $43.47, 40 hours per week. This position is estimated to be 3 months in duration. Job Functions: Lead Equipment Mechanic Functions: Must have sufficient knowledge of small engines, gas and diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
