Senior Project Engineer, Water Resources

At RK&K, we are currently hiring a Licensed Project Engineer to join our Water Resources Division in Fairfax, VA. As a Water Resources Engineer at RK&K you will support company-wide efforts in stormwater management and drainage design, hydrology and hydraulics, and scour analysis for transportation related projects. You will be responsible for the planning, designing, and implementation of effective drainage systems to ensure efficient conveyance and management of stormwater. Your expertise in hydraulic modeling and the use of industry standard software will be essential for your role. Essential Functions: - Develop and deliver industry leading stormwater management strategies for transportation projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines - Conduct drainage design activities, including the analysis of existing drainage systems, designing new drainage systems and ditches, and creating appropriate plans - Utilize hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS to model major bridge and culvert crossings - Employ software tools such as Pipesoft, Culvertsoft, to design and analyze pipe networks and culverts - Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presen...
