Assistant Breeder Manager

Job description

- Assist in directing all aspects of breeder operations. - Lead team ensuring proper methods & techniques are employed to obtain optimum health and performance of breeder flocks. - Assist in training and leading team in proper on-farm management techniques. - Monitor flock records, adjusting programs as necessary. - Ensure compliance with federal, state & local agencies. - Assist in recruitment of new growers; maintain and improve housing. - Review weekly settlement and investigate grower complaints as needed. - Oversee pullet chick placement scheduling and AI monitoring. - All other duties as directed. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Animal or Poultry Science or other closely related field. - 5+ years breeder management experience. - Excellent knowledge of breeder bird health. - Excellent communication skills.
