Job Description The Financial Information Services Agency and the Office of Payroll Administration (FISA-OPA) has a vacancy for a Configuration Management Technician. This role is responsible for ensuring that all mainframe migrations are implemented in the appropriate environments and in accordance with agency procedures. The primary systems supported are PMS and PPMS, the City's payroll and pension payroll applications. Using the ClearQuest change management software package as a guide for determining priorities, and the version control product ClearCase, it is the responsibility of the CM technician to identify potential discrepancies between what has been specified in the CQ document and the version control software in ClearCase. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring Application teams have thoroughly documented migration requests in ClearQuest to maintain audit compliance and process integrity; deploying mainframe software (IMS PSB/MFS, DB2, JCL,and COBOL programs) to various testing environments; performing post-production migrations to backfill test environments with the latest versions of code and related objects; coordinating complex migrations with Applications, Testing a...
