Overview CVP is seeking Phlebotomists to join our team in providing our Nation's Veterans with onsite clinical laboratory services at the Fresno VA Medical Center (VA Central California Health Care System), located at 2615 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA 93703. The Phlebotomist will provide routine and STAT testing support on blood, urine, and other body fluids in support of the facility's Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (P&LM) Service. This position requires rotating 8-hour shifts, including morning, evening, and graveyard shifts, as well as weekends and Federal holidays. Responsibilities: - Collect, transport, process, and evaluate specimen suitability for testing, including receiving, delivering, and storing specimens for all lab sections - Perform routine and STAT venipunctures and other specimen collection procedures in support of clinical chemistry, histology, toxicology, immunology, coagulation, hematology, urinalysis, and microbiology testing - Follow all established patient safety and infection control standards of care, making every effort to prevent falls and patient injury caused by acts of commission or omission in the delivery of care - Report all patient safety inciden...
