Description BASIC FUNCTION: The Technical Services Manager – Ferrous & Aluminum is responsible for ensuring overall customer satisfaction and product quality and for being the key technical resource for the sales team, offering support and knowledge/expertise. This role is also responsible for implementing and controlling all manufacturing quality systems to include employee training, analyzing, controlling, and minimizing rejections, handling and following up on customer complaints and specifying processing parameters. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Key resource to assist members of the Sales Team with support and knowledge/expertise related to ferrous & aluminum processing. Attend sales calls as the technical resource as needed. · Analyze rejected work and make proper disposition using the following tools: o Chemical analysis. o Microstructural analysis. o Heat treating cycle. o Review of the paperwork of the rejected work. o Individual employee meetings, if necessary. · Specify the processing parameters for new jobs using purchase orders, specifications and drawings. · Prepare initial sample report per customer request. · Ensure employees are trained in the field of SPC, inspecti...
