Job Summary: Provide mechanical maintenance support to maintain equipment in an electrical generating power plant; may perform Lead Mechanic duties during absence of a Lead Mechanic. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, test, inspect, and repair equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, motors, valves, condensers, heat exchanger vessels, etc. - Replaces bearings, packing in pumps and valves, shaft seals, sleeves, seats, and other miscellaneous parts used in plant equipment. - Troubleshoot stationary and rotating equipment. Make repairs as need in accordance with best practices. - Operate machine shop equipment such as drill presses, lathes and boring mills. - Repair or replace defective parts. - Adjust clearances and tolerances on equipment, working from a blueprint, pattern or design drawing, lays out. - Use microme...
