Corporate Counsel

Job description

The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for a variety of research and legal matters, as well as supporting the business from a compliance standpoint. This role requires 100% onsite attendance in our Pontiac office. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Daily Administrative duties pertaining to the Legal/Compliance team Reviewing, monitoring, and summarizing new and updated laws and regulations Researching and analyzing law sources such as federal and state statutes and regulations Supporting regulatory filings: Assisting with managing company policies and procedures Assisting with Legal/Compliance trainings: Performing clerical duties such as scheduling meetings and composing and typing routine correspondence Other duties as assigned: WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Must Have Qualifications: - Bachelor's and Law Degree - 1+ years of post-graduate experience - Experience performing legal research - Commitment to continuous business improvement - Capability of working closely with internal clients and outside counsel - Effective planning, organizational, and project management skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively - High level of attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent w...
