Job Summary The Radiology Assistant supports the daily operations of the imaging department by assisting technologists, preparing patients for procedures, maintaining equipment and supply areas, and performing basic administrative duties. This role contributes to efficient workflow and high-quality patient care by ensuring readiness of imaging spaces, supporting patient comfort and safety, and facilitating communication among the radiology team and other departments. Essential Functions: - Prepares patients for imaging procedures by verifying identification, screening for allergies and contrast, and assisting with positioning and comfort measures. - Assists imaging technologists with room turnover, equipment cleaning, and exam preparation using proper infection control and aseptic techniques. - Supports contrast-related procedures under appropriate supervision by preparing supplies, setting up injectors, and following applicable safety protocols. - Maintains awareness of safety requirements, including MRI zone protocols, ferrous object restrictions, radiation safety (ALARA), and emergency procedures. - Maintains adequate stock of supplies and equipment, placing orders and organizin...
