AWG truck drivers deliver groceries to retail grocery stores in a multi state region, following appropriate safety procedures when transporting goods, and all Federal and State laws. Drivers will coordinate with the warehouse and the customer to provide excellent customer service. Benefits include: Company Paid Insurance - Pension KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Will operate a tractor trailer to transport products from one destination to another and returns with either the original trailer or a drop trailer. COMPETENCIES: - Inspects Tractor-Trailer for defects before and after trips and submits a report indicating the results of this inspection. - Maintains a drivers' log in accordance with DOT regulations and comply with Federal rules and regulations. - Check all load related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate. - Obtain receipts or signatures when loads are delivered. - Maneuver trucks into loading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that the vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. - Will transport product to location, then assist with unloading product manually or with the use of material ha...
