Position Overview: - Department: Acute Rehab Services - Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Required to work a minimum of two (2) days per month, one (1) weekend shift every 4–6 weeks, and one (1) holiday shift) - PRN - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy. - Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient. - Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans. - Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations. - Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provide information regarding appropriate support programs. What You Will Need: Education: - Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist/Audiologist according to the rules and regulations of the Alabama State Board of Speech Language Pathology required. - Graduate from an accredited program relevant to professi...
