Job description

Experienced Network Engineer Company: Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited Primary Tasks: Tier 2 and 3 network support. Mostly remote support of 2 datacentres with some travel to sites in Corsham, Farnborough, Milton Keynes, Bicester and Waddington. Troubleshooting complex network issues including raising tickets with vendors if required. Planning and implementation of upgrades and hardware refresh with some out-of-hours and weekend work required. Liaising with other functional teams in Infrastructure and application teams. Participation in a shift pattern covering 7AM – 7PM Monday to Friday. Hybrid working based in Bristol. On-call support 1 week in 3. Key Skills: Cisco ACI Configuration of switching fabric (multi-pod spine-leaf architecture), tenants, application profiles, EPGs (Endpoint Groups), and contract management. Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 switches. Ability to use Ansible (playbooks/roles), Python, and REST APIs to automate network configurations and policy enforcement. Experience using Cisco APIC, SNMP, and telemetry tools to diagnose issues.
