Ultrasound Technologist (Per Diem)

Job description

Proposed Schedule: Up to 19.75 hours per week. Shifts will vary. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing ultrasound studies following ACR, State, Network, department, and manufacturer’s recommendations and guidelines to create diagnostic quality images. Exams are performed as directed by an MD, DO, PA, or NP while embracing the core values of Quality, Appreciation, Creativity, and Sustainability in pursuing the HHHN Mission and Vision. - Select proper technical factors and patient positioning for the creation of diagnostic quality images. - Provide proper education for patients to include an explanation of exam and/or preparation requirements. - Maintain proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to schedule exams, process orders, initiate billing and distribute imaging results to providers. - Process images to PACS and review ultrasound findings with radiologists and OB/GYN providers. - Maintain proficiency in Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS to deliver images to radiologists and permanent archives. - Maintain a log of all patients imaged. - Maintain a clean and orderly exam room. - Prepare patient CDs and/or push images to other PACS systems. -...
