Job Description Summary The Senior Principal Engineer (SPE) – Generator & Electrical Systems is the deep system-level technical expertise across generator and electrical systems supporting GE Vernova Gas Power plants, Steam and aero-derivative fleets. This role delivers end-to-end system perspective—mechanical flange‑to‑flange and electrical system interactions—to resolve the complex safety, reliability, and operational challenges across the installed fleet. The SPE ensures technical rigor, consistency, and quality of technical recommendations and communications provided to customers and internal stakeholders. Operating beyond individual projects, this role proactively identifies emerging fleet and sub‑fleet risks, strengthens technical governance, and partners closely with the Chief Engineer’s Office to protect safety, reduce risk, and sustain customer trust. One of the main objectives for this role will be to shift from reactive to proactive by identifying risks from avalibel fleet data.
