We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures while utilizing gained educational knowledge and experience. Essential Functions: - Shadow assigned merchant team to understand buying functions. - Gain exposure to tasks an assistant and associate buyer would be responsible for. - Exposure to buying process and procedure: how do we work together as a team and the essential functions of each position - Exposure to financial reporting and gain an understanding of open to buy and budgets - Retrieval from vendor portals - Working in assortment planning - How to identify trends and adapt them to our consumer - Assistance with production of Visual Assortments by brand for current buying seasons via Power Point - Possible review of DC on hand product and manual allocation of product to stores after analysis of inventories by stores Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Good research and analytical skills - Knowledge of copywriting and editing - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail Minimum Requirements: - • Must be detail...
