Job DetailsJob Location: Greensboro, NC 27405Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSummary The Child-Focused Recruiter is responsible for serving youth who are in the foster care system and at risk for long term foster care and aging out of care without supports. The overall goal of this position is to achieve legal permanency (guardianship or adoption) for youth. Permanency is achieved through communicating with family of origin, other known community connections, youth, and their professional team. Primary Job Functions: Duties: Demonstrate a commitment to identifying a permanent, safe, and loving home for youth through actively exploring their family and past/current network Conduct various methods of diligent search including interviews with DSS staff and children, case record reviews, and internet-based searches to identify resources Demonstrate a working knowledge of the local child welfare system including foster care and adoptions Maintain collaborative relationships with social workers, case managers, therapists, CHS Permanency staff, and other members of case management teams Contact identified resources to gather information and engage them in planning fo...
