Position Summary SHIFT: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11:00PM - 7:00AM The Campus Safety Dispatcher processes calls regarding emergency and non-emergency situations in a 24/7/365 operation. This position handles calls for service (via radio, telephone and other electronic means) from throughout NYU’s global enterprise, ensuring an appropriate response is dispatched in accordance with University policy and procedures. The successful candidate is an expert multi-tasker who can remain calm in high stress situations and provide excellent customer service. The Campus Safety Dispatcher is also comfortable utilizing complex computerized systems and interacting with all members of the University community (students, parents, visitors, faculty, and staff). Responsible for maintaining the status of DPS personnel on shift or special assignment within the Computer Aided Dispatch, (CAD), system.
