Job Description WGL - Lead, Energy Supply The Lead, Energy Supply provides technical leadership for the execution of Washington Gas’s natural gas supply and transportation activities. This role serves as the advisor and functional owner for gas procurement, pipeline scheduling, supply balancing and regulatory support. You Will: Leads the execution of seasonal, monthly, and daily natural gas supply procurement in a regulated utility environment. Collaborates closely with Gas Control to manage supply‑demand balance, operational constraints, and emergency conditions. Partners with Finance and Accounting to align procurement activity with budgets, forecasts, and financial controls. Serves as the escalation point for operational decisions requiring cross‑department coordination. Provides technical leadership to pipeline scheduling staff responsible for nominations, confirmations, cut management, and variance resolution. Coordinates with interstate pipelines, suppliers, storage operators, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
