Internal Closing Date: Apr 18, 2026 External Closing Date: Jun 30, 2026 Note: Posting comes off at 12:00AM on the closing date, with the competition closing at 11:59pm the day prior. Hourly Rate: 22.69 Minimum Weekly Hours: 4 Up to three (3) positions available. Hourly pay + 16% in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits. Reporting to the Coordinator, Aquatics, this position involves instructing classes for children and adults in all levels of swimming and performing normal lifeguard duties. Duties Include: - Performs normal lifeguard duties including supervising guests and ensuring the pool area is free from hazards. - Plans and instructs all swim programs as needed. - Completes documentation related to facility incidents, water quality, cleaning schedules, checklists, reports and program records. - Tests water quality in swimming pools. - Carries out assigned cleaning and minor preventative maintenance tasks. - Performs other duties as required. - All persons employed by the City of Vernon will be required to assist the City in providing emergency serv...
