Job description

Pay Rate: $38.10/hr Classification Description: Repairs , maintains , and inspects aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment under the technical direction of an Aircraft Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic (Senior) or Lead. Removes and installs aircraft components. Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems. Special certifications may be required. May be required to adjust, align, and rig aircraft systems. May be required to perform aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations. Inspects and identifies aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair. May be required to perform crash recovery duties. Required to perform assigned tasks within your work center that directly supports necessary functions of this job classification. Specialty Qualifications: a. Knowledge. Knowledge of the principles applying to aircraft systems, concepts and applications of maintenance directives and data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory. Knowledge of Air Force supply and deficiency reporting procedures and the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory.
