Quality Engineer

Overview of the Position: The Quality Engineer is a key driver of the Company's continuous improvement program, utilizing tools such as, pFMEAs, KPIs, and Kaizen. This candidate will also have a strong background in GD&T and inspection methods and be able to create inspection plans from drawings. Assess suppliers to ensure Quality Assurance compliance. Lastly, the candidate will evaluate the Company's QMS and all its core processes for AS9100 conformance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Required to use and understand control plans, pFMEA, PEARs, and other forms of process control to ensure product quality. - Write and review dispositions for nonconforming materials. - Review customer contracts for quality requirements for purchasing flow downs, quality clauses, engineering requirements and specifications. - Review engineering drawings, specifications and product fabrication drawings and advises how these can be improved to reduce manufacturing costs. - Approve new and revised drawings on behalf of the Quality Department. - Respond to corrective action requests from customers including containment, corrective action planning, and verification. - Facilitate internal audit pr...
