Job description

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Role and Responsibilities: Label, receive, and process samples (blood, urine, tissue, stool, etc.) for clinical trials per specific protocol guidelines to include logging samples into and out of the department. Request and receive tissue samples from outside pathology facilities. Send tissue blocks to vendor to have slides cut and ship these slides to the study’s lab. Label, receive, and process samples (blood, urine, tissue etc.) for clinical trials per specific protocol guidelines to include logging samples into and out of the department. Record all data in specified forms per clinical trial (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility. Enter data into departmental database. Recognize discrepancies in the data on the samples and coordinate with the clinical staff to correct. Organize and store all reagents according to safety instructions. Maintain equipment and a clean and orderly lab environment. Restock lab consumables at the end of the day. Manage inventory of clinical trial supplies and kits as well as departmental supplies.
