Job Description Reports to the Planning Yard Design Section Manager: - As the liaison for the Design Manager/Section Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring information exchange with stakeholders occurs to execute assigned work. - Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), this position ensures delivery of superior Life Cycle Services for multiple DDG 51 ships in the fleet. - Responsible for monitoring compliance with applicable procedures, practices, quality assurance policies, information technology policies, performance standards and specifications. - Interacting daily with the 1st and 2nd shift design floor and supporting organizations to interpret their needs and requirements. - Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans) and report regularly on project status. - Interacting daily with the design floor to interpret their needs and requirements. - Work with Workleader/Mentors on both shifts. - Weekly metrics analysis and report creation/maintenance. - Support Program Review actions with research, presentation development, and report creation.
