Engineer, Clinical Supply Chain (SAP ICSM)

Job description

The Role: Moderna is seeking a candidate to design, build, and support SAP ICSM capabilities that enable reliable, compliant clinical trial supply planning and operations. This role is a hands-on SAP engineer who will configure and extend ICSM, integrate ICSM’s cloud components on SAP BTP with SAP S/4HANA extensions, and partner with Clinical Supply Chain, Clinical Operations, Quality, and external partners (CMOs/3PLs) to deliver validated solutions in a regulated environment. Here’s What You’ll Do: Configure and support SAP ICSM modules and processes (Study Management; Medication List, Planning & Forecasting; Manufacturing & Packaging; Distribution) to enable clinical supply execution and visibility. Partner with business stakeholders to translate protocol/study requirements into system design (e.g., study parameters, demand drivers, supply strategy, labeling/packaging needs, depot/site distribution workflows). Implement and maintain integrations between ICSM and the clinical supply ecosystem, including CTMS and IRT systems (enrollment/dispensing signals, randomization/blinding interfaces), as well as external stakeholders such as CMOs and 3PLs.
