Performs patient care activities in the CVOR to assist the registered nurse or physician. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Coordinates cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) shift operations including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources. - Serves as a technical or functional resource for staff and performs similar duties. - Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and procedures. - Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned CVOR employees. - Anticipates and plans individualized care for the patient based on advanced knowledge of the CVOR surgical case and anticipates unexpected patient and surgeon needs. - Assists CVOR surgical cases by running the table and assisting the surgeon at an expert level utilizing the principles of surgical asepsis, infection control, universal precautions, and life safety. - Maintains an orderly and organized work environment...
