Department: 11598 Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center - Patient Transport Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 9-530pm Pay Range: $18.85 - $28.30 Major Responsibilities: - Lifts and transports patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers or beds, properly positioning and securing patient using proper body mechanics. Ensures the comfort of the patient by being attentive, offering blankets. Follows all posted precaution signs. - Transports patients to their destinations. May also be responsible for transporting other items such as patient belongings, specimens, carts, wheelchairs and other equipment to their destinations. - Contacts clinical staff immediately regarding changes to a patient's condition, or if an issue arises with patient's equipment during transport. - Verifies and documents correct patient identification by comparing information from the printed ticket to ride to patient wristband. - Using electronic software, the transporter will track when assignments are initiated, completed, delayed, or cancelled, - Collects and returns equipment to the proper holding areas.
