Description Position Description: The School of Applied Sciences and Arts within the College of Integrative Arts and Sciences on the Downtown Phoenix and Polytechnic campuses of Arizona State University invites applications to establish a pool for Applied Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies Faculty Associates for the 2026-2027 academic year. This includes disciplinary areas, such as history, English, communication, religious studies, and philosophy, as well as courses to support interdisciplinary studies, liberal studies, general studies, science, technology, and society (STS), and military and veterans’ studies (MVS). The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in either Applied Humanities or Interdisciplinary Studies programs; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester.
