Job description

The intermediate Mammography Technologist independently performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in an outpatient clinical setting. Provides direct patient care across diverse populations, ensures compliance with MQSA and ACR standards, and supports radiologists during diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures. The technologist applies sound clinical judgment, delivers compassionate, patient-centered care, and contributes to a safe, efficient, and high-quality breast imaging environment aligned with UT Health San Antonio's mission, vision, and values. Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations independently in accordance with established protocols and quality standards. Prepare patients for procedures by verifying identity, obtaining relevant clinical history, explaining the examination process, and addressing patient concerns. Select appropriate imaging equipment, accessories, and exposure factors based on patient anatomy and clinical indications.
