POSITION SUMMARY: The Housing Specialist provides housing support to participants in the Program. The incumbent will be able to cope with conflict, stress, and crisis situations through effective problem-solving and mediation skills. The Housing Specialist will be responsible for case management, resource linkages, and supporting households in growing tenancy skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: ● Coordination of services for client ● Gather documents needed to secure housing ● Locate housing opportunities in the community ● Liaise between client and landlord on housing process and stability ● Create action plan with client and conduct weekly in-home visits to monitor progress and offer solutions, as needed ● Maintain appropriate client files and complete documentation within the required timeframe ● Advocate for client’s voice and choice in housing process MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES): ● High School Diploma ● Minimum 3 years’ experience in housing related social services ● Knowledge of Coordinated Entry System ● Excellent communication skills (written and oral) ● Ability t...
