Clinical Nurse Educator - Full Time Day POSITION S UMMARY: The Nurse Educator is responsible for facilitating the development of clinical excellence through active participation in orientation, training/role transition, internships/externships, career development, continuing education/continued competence and academic partnerships. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Utilizes principles of education, adult learning and, for nurses, bases all activities on the professional growth pathway of the Novice to Expert continuum. - Responsible for the effective implementation of staff clinical orientation, competency development, and quality nursing education. - Serves as a role model and resource to the nursing staff, provides consultation, and participates in the development of nursing care standards in the department. - Promotes excellence in nursing as a subject matter expert of the Professional Practice Model. - Creates, plans, implements and coordinates orientation for individuals new to the department. - Activities to include coaching of new and experience...
