Department: 10250 Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Illinois Masonic IL OP Arrival Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 20 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Part time position that will work 3 days a week during our hours of operation. Outpatient hours of operation 5:00 am - 7:00 pm M, W, F and 5:00 am - 9:00 pm T, Th; Sat/Sun 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Training occurs 40 hrs/ weeks and can take 4 - 5 weeks. Pay Range: $20.80 - $31.20 Major Responsibilities: - Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Follows and ensures compliance with the mandate of the organization’s accrediting bodies to use identifiers to positively identify a patient prior to the delivery of patient care to ensure patient safety. - Checks in and registers patients; obtains and verifies complete demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; discusses and collects co-pays and other out-of-pocket patient responsibilities.
