Job Details: Shift D: Thursday - Sunday 6 pm. to 6 am Starting Pay: $19.85/hr plus $2.00 shift premium Position Summary: The Metal Detection / Machine Operator at the RVI Hanceville rendering facility is responsible for monitoring, verifying, and documenting metal detection systems to ensure all finished products meet Tyson Foods food safety and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in regulatory compliance, product integrity, and customer protection within rendering operations. Essential Job Functions: Perform and document hourly metal detector checks on all running production lines. Ensure correct metal detector test sticks are used per product requirements and are properly cleaned and sanitized. Verify metal detector reject systems are operational and detector boxes are locked and secured. Monitor product flow to ensure material is properly routed following metal detection checks. Conduct date code and lot code verification on bags, boxes, and containers using approved equipment. Accurately record all checks, results, and corrective actions in required logs or systems.
