Job description

Summary The Department of Medicine is seeking a competent and reliable Registered Nurse II to support our clinicians providing services to patients. This position will assist in the care of patients under the direction of our team of physicians. The RN II position is expected to demonstrate clinical competence when providing care, using technology, administering medications, performing procedures, managing emergencies, and acting as a patient and family advocate in order to monitor and maintain patient rights. Serves as a resource for Licensed Vocational Nurses, Registered Nurses I's, and unlicensed staff members. The Registered Nurse II is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care management. Candidate must possess a proactive, team-oriented attitude. Position should be able to perform nursing and administrative duties using the principles of team-based and patient-centered care, chronic care management models, and quality improvement.
