Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist to join the Toxicology Department in San Antonio, TX Work Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, with the possibility of rotating Mondays as needed. Start time is 7:00 a.m.; end time may vary based on workload and operational needs. Overtime is minimal and typically averages fewer than 10 hours per pay period. Job Responsibilities: - Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria - Perform routine and complex toxicology testing procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper functionality - Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving - Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls - Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care - Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures - Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed - Assist with specimen processing when required - Maintain a safe work environment and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’...
